The year is now 2088, and Warpgate City remains a blend of high tech and perpetual crime. Stratified by social class, corporate espionage is rife in the higher levels of the city. Yet as megacorporations vie for dominance above, much of the populace struggles to simply eke out a living in the warrens of the under-city. Bioengineering has spread widely as cybernetic body replacements and neural implants offer a path to not only survive—but to thrive.
What is Chain Crisis?
Chain Crisis is a cyberpunk MMORPG where players band together to complete missions and defeat enemies, including unique bosses, to earn in-game currencies and improved equipment. The game is currently in active development.

The Chain Crisis Male Specimens is the first collection of 10,000 unique and randomized characters on the Solana Blockchain. Each character minted will have unique bodies, implants, skin color, facial features, accessories, and cosmetics.
As custodians of these specimens, you will be able to load up these characters in-game as your avatar to navigate Warpgate City.

Chain Crisis was ideated by James F, a coder, and designer with 20 years of experience as a full-stack software dev. James was an early adopter of bitcoin, and was one of the few people in 2011 who saw the true potential of cryptocurrencies.
In Oct 2021, he built the prototype of Chain Crisis in 2D, and submitted it to the Solana Ignition hackathon.
After Chain Crisis gained attention and interests from the community, he assembled a team to focus on the development. They plan to release an alpha version around Q2 2022. The final game will be built using Unreal Engine in 3D.

Specimens are a collection of unique and randomized Chain Crisis characters on the Solana Blockchain. Each character minted will have unique bodies, implants, skin color, facial features, accessories, and cosmetics. Specimens will be your (optional) in-game avatar in navigating Warpgate City.
The countdown for the next specimen drop will be on the Mint page of our website. Each specimen will cost 1 SOL for the first drop. You will need a Solana Wallet to participate in the minting.
We currently have two specimen drops scheduled each consisting of a collection of 10,000 specimens. Specimens will be minted before the mainnet launch of the game. Sync up with our discord server to get notified for the drops!
Chain Crisis is a cyberpunk MMORPG currently in development on the Solana blockchain where you can band together with friends to earn in-game currencies and items.
You will be able to load the NFT into your character in Chain Crisis. This will give your character an in-game cosmetic effect that you can brag to future players 😎.
Similar to the popular MMORPGs, Chain Crisis lets players cooperate together to defeat difficult enemies to earn equipments and cryptocurrencies.
There are other things like Cyberdance AI which lets you auto-pilot your character based on the AI behavior you've set. We are improving the mechanics as we are uncover more possibilities to do in the Solana blockchain.
Our number 1 goal is to give players a great co-op gameplay experience.
In 2013, James wanted to build a game where players could invite their friends, form a party, and do dungeon raids together, while earning cryptocurrencies. He felt that given how society is transitioning to the online world (i.e. the metaverse), it made sense to have a place where you could hang out with friends and do something economically productive together.
The game's aesthetics is based on popular Cyberpunk novels such as Blade Runner, Akira, and Ghost in the shell. James believes that in the next couple of decades, we will see a shift towards a future where decentralized systems will become dominant.

There will be, for sure! We decided to do the male Specimens first because auto-generating mixed genders became a challenge for us. We will instead create another edition where the characters are all female.
Instead of lands players can own condos/buildings (i.e. become landlords). Owning a building will give you some following functions:
